The Dean’s Turn

-The present Deans Road through Bleary preserves the name of this local road intersection.

Dean Blacker former rector of Drumcree and Vicar of Seagoe Parishes resided at his family seat of Carrickblacker in the parish of Seagoe. To facilitate the journey to and fro from Seagoe Parish (St. Gobhan) to Waringstown, a road was made between the two parishes, namely the Deans Turn/ Road.
