Changing Faces and Places at Bleary YFC 

Bleary Young Farmers’ Club recently held their annual general meeting at the Farmers’ Hall, with the AGM chaired by Mr John Mathers, County Mentor.

A large turn-out of members were present along with a number of apologises also being accepted.

Following a detailed Secretary’s report on the club activities and progress over the past year, a prolific account of club finances was also provided. The chairman, John Mathers proceeded to declare all offices now vacant with the 2008/2009 committee being elected as follows:-

President: Mrs Noelle Menaul (re-election)

Club Leader: David Meredith

Assistant Club Leader: Carla Alderdice

Secretary: Susanne Halliday

Assistant Secretary: Nicola Harrison

Treasurer: Heather Walker

Assistant Treasurer: Kate Troughton

Public Relations Officer: John Harrison (re-election)

Duke of Edinburgh Award Co-Ordinator: Diane Halliday (re-election)

Council Representative: William White

SELB Representative: Julie Menaul

Ulster Farmers’ Union Representative: Andrew Greer

Catering Officer: Caroline Jess

Club Auditor: Mrs Anne Harrison

 

The club would like to thank the 2007/2008 committee for all their hard work over the past year and especially Julie Menaul, past Club Leader for her dedication to the club.

A vote of thanks was proposed to John Mathers for so ably chairing the meeting and conducting the election in such a professional capacity.

All that remained was to wish everyone well in their new positions for the year ahead.

·        St Patrick Stew Night & Table Quiz, Friday 14th March, Bleary Farmers’ Hall, 7.45pm
