Awards for all! With the highlight of the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster year, namely the annual Conference firmly behind us all, Bleary YFC has certainly excelled with awards. At the conference, the theme which was launched for the year ahead, ‘All for One, On for All’, was certainly applicable and effective for Bleary.At the awards ceremony, the club collected the Linda Steele Cup for the club efforts in the community and the environment. This award has certainly been a team effort and congratulations go to all club members for their work.The awards ceremony progressed with the announcement that Richard Boyes was awarded the Golden Plough Cup in the Under 21 section of the Ulster Young Farmer Competition.Bleary YFC was again to prove lucky a third time, whenever club member John Harrison collected the Farming Life Plaque for Co. Armagh member of the Year.The conference held this year in the Slieve Donard Resort, Newcastle was an international event with attendees from Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales Association of Young Farmers’ Clubs.As the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster progress into the 80th year, Bleary YFC will remain committed to the theme.Remember, Bleary YFC BBQ and Dance at Acheson’s Barn, Crowhill Road, Waringstown on Saturday 3rd May starting at 9pm.
