Bleary Rural Community

The next club meeting is to be held this Friday, 3rd October meeting at 7.45pm at the Farmers’ Hall. ‘Balls Galore’ will be the theme for a night of Ten Pin Bowling in Belfast.

Members of Bleary have recently competed in the YFC Swimming Gala held in Ballymena.

Club member Nigel White came first in the over 16 Male Heat, while Caroline Jess and Carla Alderdice took first and second place respectively in the Under 16 Female Heat.

Bleary YFC also went on to take fourth place in the YFCU relay with Jill Poots, Carla Alderdice and Caroline Jess taking part.

Congratulations go to all who participated and also to those who went along to show support.

This week has also seen the YFC Floral Art competition being held in Ballynahinch with Bleary members taking part. Results to follow next week.

Membership fees for the new club year are now due. Members should endeavour to pay as soon as possible. Rates applicable are as follows: Age 12-14 £9.50; 14-16 £11.50; 16-18 £16.50; 18-21 £19.50; 21+ £26.50. Please note that all membership fees are in force for the operation and administration of regional events and competitions.

Tickets priced £12 are still available for the forthcoming ‘Harvest Dinner’ which will be hosted by Bleary Farmers Hall Committee on Friday 17^th October at 7.45pm and to be held in Bleary Farmers’ Hall. Musical entertainment will follow the dinner. All present members, past members, parents and friends are encouraged to attend.
