County Dinner for Co Armagh Young Farmers’ Bleary Young Farmers’ Club will be heading to Tandragee Golf Club this Friday, 14th November for the annual County Dinner which commences at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £20 and all ages are most welcome. Club members are also reminded that a Bleary YFC Choir rehearsal will take place on Sunday 16th November at 3pm sharp in the Farmers’ Hall. Please remember to attend. On Tuesday evening past, office bearers of the above club competed in the Best County office bearers competition with results due to be announced at the dinner. The last club meeting followed the theme of ‘Challenge Yourself’ in which Thomas Lennox, entertained members to a power point presentation on his travels as a YFC Exchangee to Finland recently. The club would like to thank Thomas for his help and excellent presentation. Club Leader, David Meredith also provided an excellent and informative presentation entitled ‘Know Drugs’. Members are reminded to enter the design a Drugs Awareness Poster competition with a Nintendo Wii up for grabs for the winning entry. All designs should be submitted on A4 poster size and be submitted to YFC Headquarters by 27th November. At the conclusion of the last meeting, Bleary Young Farmers’ made a donation to the Ulster Farmers’ Union Africa Appeal, proceeds from the club’s recent Harvest Service. Mr Robin Anderson, a former member of Bleary YFC and currently employed by the Ulster Farmers’ Union gratefully accepted the cheque on behalf of the appeal.
